勒內·吉拉爾（Rene Girard）， 法國 當代著名 哲學 家、人類學家， 1 923年12月25日出生於法國東南部阿維尼翁，1947年移居美國，於印第安那大學取得博士學位，1981- 1996 年間任教於美國斯坦福 大学 。

吉拉爾的主要著作為四部 系列 論著：《 浪漫 的謊言與 小說 的真實》、《 暴力 與神聖》、《論 世界 創立以來的隱蔽事物》、《替罪羊》。
