The global renaissance in architecture has afforded Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza a wide range of opportunities to generate new and exciting architecture over recent years. These buildings and projects reflect Siza's continuing belief, in his own word s, that the limits of a building can be found in the way the relations between exterior and interior are controlled'. Seventeen projects built over the last eight years, including Maison van Middelem-Dupont, the Multipurpose Pavilion, Gondomar, House in Majorca, Armanda Passos House, Anyang Pavilion, and the Museum for the Iberê Camargo Foundation are thoroughly examined in this volume. All are accompanied by full page colour photo graphs, sketches, plans, elevations, models, and introduced by an extensive interview with the architect.
